Brian’s 2009 Aprilia Scarabeo 250
"Freya"
Freya – Brian’s 2009 Aprilia Scarabeo 250 is a serious touring machine, built to tackle long-distance endurance rides with a balance of power, efficiency, and comfort. Unlike many small-wheel scooters, Freya features large 16-inch wheels, offering better stability, smoother handling, and improved ride quality at highway speeds—a major advantage over traditional small-frame scooters in the 3,800-mile Scooter Cannonball.
Under the seat, the 249cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivers strong mid-range torque and fuel efficiency, making it one of the best middleweight scooters for long-haul riding. Paired with a smooth CVT transmission and electronic fuel injection, Freya is efficient, reliable, and able to handle everything from highway stretches to backroads without breaking a sweat. The lightweight steel tube frame and well-balanced suspension ensure a stable, comfortable ride even on rough terrain.
